Getting Started

New to Cashflow Companion Mini? Start with your current money situation, build a small plan, and learn what the forecast can—and cannot—tell you.

1. Understand the purpose

Cashflow Companion Mini is a personal cashflow planning tool. It helps you compare expected money movements with transactions you record. It is not a bank account, payment service or source of guaranteed financial predictions.

2. Set up your starting information

Open the app and complete its starting-balance setup using the money amount you intend to track. Use an amount you can explain and review; forecasts depend on the starting information you enter.

3. Build a simple Money Plan

Start with one expected income item and one upcoming outgoing item. For example, a fictional user begins with ₱2,000, expects ₱6,000 in salary, and plans a ₱1,500 electricity bill plus ₱1,000 groceries. These are example figures, not suggested spending amounts.

4. Review the Forecast

Check the date of each expected movement, how the projected balance changes, and whether any day looks tighter than others. A forecast is a conditional estimate; expected salary is not the same as salary already received.

5. Record what actually happened

When money is received or spent, use the app’s transaction-recording flow. Review Records to compare actual entries with the Money Plan. Confirm amounts and dates before saving.

6. Review and adjust

If an expected payday, bill amount, or due date changes, check the planned entry and review your forecast again. Keeping information current makes the projection more useful.

Important before resetting your phone

Core finance records are stored locally. The current published app does not provide verified cloud sync or app-managed backup for those records. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app may permanently remove them.
