Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of the Opsquill Studio website, subscription and identity features, comments, Follow-ups, and other community or publishing features made available through the site.

1. Using the site

You may browse public content without an account unless a specific feature says otherwise. Some participation features require a confirmed subscription or authenticated WordPress.com identity.

2. Accounts and authentication

You are responsible for activity performed through your authenticated identity and for protecting access to your email, WordPress.com account, and connected sign-in providers. Do not impersonate another person or use an identity you are not authorized to control.

3. Subscriptions

Following Opsquill may result in email updates according to the available newsletter settings. You may unsubscribe or manage delivery preferences using the controls provided by WordPress.com.

4. Community participation

Comments, Follow-ups, reactions, and future member-created Thoughts must follow these Terms and the Community Guidelines. Participation may be limited, moderated, suspended, or removed where reasonably necessary to protect the community or the service.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you create and submit, subject to any rights you already granted elsewhere. By submitting public content to Opsquill Studio, you give Opsquill Studio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and technically adapt that content as reasonably necessary to operate, moderate, promote, and make the service available. This license ends when the content is removed from the service, except where continued retention is reasonably required for backups, legal obligations, moderation records, or material already shared by others.

6. Intellectual property

Opsquill Studio branding, original site design, original publications, product materials, and other studio-created content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws unless stated otherwise. Do not copy, republish, sell, or misrepresent studio-owned material beyond permissions provided by law or an applicable license.

7. Prohibited activity

Do not use the site for unlawful activity, harassment, threats, impersonation, spam, malicious code, unauthorized access, privacy violations, deceptive manipulation, infringement of another person’s rights, or attempts to interfere with the service.

8. Moderation

Opsquill Studio may review, refuse, hide, edit for safety or formatting where appropriate, or remove community content; restrict participation; or preserve records where reasonably necessary for moderation, security, legal compliance, or dispute handling. Moderation decisions may consider context, severity, repetition, and risk.

9. Third-party services

The site relies on or links to third-party services including WordPress.com, Automattic services, social networks, app stores, podcast platforms, and other external providers. Their own terms and policies apply to their services.

10. No professional advice

Unless a specific service expressly states otherwise, Opsquill Studio content is provided for general informational, educational, creative, or practical purposes and should not be treated as professional legal, medical, financial, engineering, tax, or other regulated advice.

11. Availability and changes

Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued as Opsquill Studio develops. The studio does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every feature will remain in its current form.

12. Disclaimer

The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. Opsquill Studio does not guarantee that all information will always be complete, error-free, current, or suitable for every purpose.

13. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when the service changes materially. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective may be treated as acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
