Privacy Policy

Cashflow Companion (“Cashflow Companion,” the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a personal cashflow planning and forecasting application operated by Opsquill Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App, including information you manually enter, information stored locally on your device, and information that may be processed by third-party services integrated into the App.

2. What Cashflow Companion Does

Cashflow Companion is a local-first personal cashflow planning and forecasting app. It helps users view a forward-looking cashflow forecast based on information such as income timing, expenses, debt payments, savings schedules, starting balance, and related forecast inputs. The App currently does not require account creation for core use and does not currently provide cloud sync for core cashflow records.

3. Information You May Enter Into the App

• income amounts and schedule details
• expense amounts and due dates
• debt payment amounts and due dates
• savings amounts and transfer dates
• starting balance and related forecast inputs
• optional entry labels or descriptions you choose to add

This information is used to provide the App’s setup, projection, snapshot, timeline, and reminder features.

4. Local-First Handling of Core Cashflow Data

The App’s core cashflow and setup data is designed to be stored locally on your device. Core financial entries are stored on-device; the App does not require a user account for core use; it does not currently provide cloud sync for cashflow records; and it does not currently provide app-managed backup of cashflow records.

Financial entries you manually add for forecasting are intended to remain on your device unless you edit them, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App.

5. No Account Creation

Cashflow Companion does not currently require account registration, username/password login, or cloud profile management for its core features. If future versions add account-based features, this Privacy Policy may be updated.

6. Notifications and Device Permissions

The App may request notification permission for optional local reminders and app notices. You can deny this permission or turn notifications off later in Android settings and, where applicable, inside the App.

7. Optional App Lock and Security Features

The App may offer local security features such as an app PIN, biometric unlock support, and recovery-related security settings. These features are intended to operate locally on your device.

8. Third-Party Services

The App includes third-party software development kits and related services for monetization and app stability. These may include Google Mobile Ads SDK / AdMob for the ads-supported experience and Firebase Crashlytics for crash detection, diagnosis, and stability improvement.

9. Data That May Be Processed by Third-Party Services

Advertising services such as Google Mobile Ads SDK / AdMob may automatically process categories of data such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, app and user interaction information, diagnostic information, and device or advertising-related identifiers. This processing may support advertising, analytics and measurement, fraud prevention, security, and compliance.

Firebase Crashlytics and related Firebase components may process crash stack traces, relevant application state, device metadata, installation-related identifiers, session metadata, and app usage timing information for crash and quality management.

The financial entries you manually enter for core cashflow forecasting are intended to remain stored locally on your device and are not described as being transmitted to an Opsquill Studio backend for account-based storage.

10. How We Use Information

• detect, investigate, and fix crashes and technical problems

11. Data Sharing

The App does not currently operate its own user cloud account system for cashflow records. However, integrated advertising and crash-reporting services may collect, transmit, and/or share technical, advertising-related, diagnostic, or identifier data according to their own services and policies.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to the current version of the App. Where third-party SDKs are used, portions of data handling are governed by those providers’ safeguards and policies. No method of electronic storage, transmission, or processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Data Retention

Locally stored cashflow records generally remain on your device until you edit them, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. Data processed by third-party providers such as Google Mobile Ads SDK and Firebase Crashlytics may be retained according to those providers’ own retention practices, operational requirements, and legal obligations.

14. Data Deletion

Because the App does not currently provide account creation for core use, there is no account-based deletion workflow. Locally stored app data can generally be removed by clearing the App’s storage through your device settings or uninstalling the App.

15. International Processing

Third-party services integrated into the App may process data on servers located outside your country or region, according to those providers’ own privacy policies and legal requirements.

16. Children’s Privacy

Cashflow Companion is not directed to children and is not intended for users under 18 based on the current target audience of the App.

17. Your Choices and Controls

Depending on your device, region, and applicable platform tools, you may have controls including Android notification controls, Android advertising ID or privacy controls, Google privacy and ad controls, and privacy or consent tools presented through supported ad-related messaging.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in App features, integrated SDKs or third-party services, legal or platform-policy requirements, and operational, security, or transparency improvements. When updated, the Effective Date or Last Updated date will be revised.
